More can be done in one well-organised Away Day than weeks of meetings, phone calls, web searches and discussions. Why? Because key people from the organisation are focussed on producing a specific result during a set period of time.
Away Days are used for strategic planning, team building, training on roles and responsibilities - in fact anything that is needed to move the organisation forward.
In providing support I would be involved in meeting key people in advance to plan the day, facilitating the discussions and activities, ending up with an action plan on how they are going to progress. I would then produce a report on the day that would be used as a working document.
